<p>Lyle Rex Cherepkai, a lifelong Terre Haute resident, passed away at his residence at the age of 69. Lyle was born on Nov. 20, 1942, in Terre Haute, the son of the late William and Sharon (McKee) Cherepkai.</p>
<p>Lyle served our country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army. Lyle retired from the Wabash Fiber Box Company in 1997. He was an accomplished artist and took great pride in his oil paintings.</p>
<p>He leaves behind his two sons, Lyle Rex Cherepkai and David Lee Cherepkai, both of Terre Haute; sister, Lynda Gildea of Urbana, Ohio; brother, Michael and wife Linda Cherepkai of Brazil; and several nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>In addition to his parents, Lyle was preceded in death by his son, Michael Todd Cherepkai; sister, Sharon Jolene; brothers, Bill and Paul Cherepkai; his sister-in-law, Norma Ruth Cherepkai; and brother-in-law, Jim Gildea.</p>
<p>Services are private. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions in memory of Lyle to American Heart Association. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at:</p>

Borgman</strong>, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at 2:50 p.m., in Union Hospital. He was a factory supervisor/foreman for Wabash Fibre Box. Donald was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Batesville, to Clarence Borgman and Flora C. (Rimstidt) Borgman.</p>
<p>He is survived by two sons, Stephen Borgman and wife Sharon of Decatur, Ill., and Bradley Harris and wife Becky of Avon; four daughters, Frances Blackburn and husband Bill of Decatur, Jan Houser and husband Richard, Brenda O’Neal and husband John, and Becky Doti and husband David, all of Terre Haute; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy (Halzhause) Borgman; his second wife, Betty (King) Borgman; a brother, Warren Borgman; and a grandchild.</p>
<p>Donald was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.</p>
<p>Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m., in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at 10 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military honors provided by Lawton-Byrum Post 972 Veterans of Foreign Wars. <p><img class="alignleft" src="http://tribstar.com/archive/x150250274/g00025800000000000002b6a987f1a8458dc54be8bc6d566be3d5ca7bb9.jpg" alt="" width="130" height="216" />William “Bill” Deighton, of Terre Haute, passed away on Jan. 31, 2011, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Bill was born on May 16, 1919, in Terre Haute to Tom and Ethel (Cooke) Deighton. He married Norma Slaven in 1939 in Martinsville, Ind. and she preceded him in death in 2002. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as a supervisor for Wabash Fibre Box Company. Bill and Norma built their own home, enjoyed traveling, dancing and bear hunting.</p>
<p>Bill is survived by his children, Thomas Deighton and wife Tess of Cleveland, Marilyn Deighton of Kempner, Texas, and Sandra Purdy and husband Sam of Terre Haute; grandchildren, William Christopher Deighton, Angelina Deighton, Steven Beard and wife Annette, and Debra Morford; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Keller, Dillon Beard, Breeanna and Abbigail Gurchiek; a brother, Donald Deighton; sister-in-law, Ann Thiede, and brother-in-law, John (Janet) Slaven; and several nieces and nephews and family friend, Robert Wesley.</p>
<p>Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma; sister, Vivian Burrell; brother, Bernard Deighton; brother-in-law, Albert Slaven; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Waldon and Alene Gerring.</p>
<p>Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the funeral home with the Rev. Jason Riggle officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park with military rites performed by VFW Post 972.</p>
